Reading Discussion 1

 This generation has moved more towards the digital age so reading and writing has as well. In the article Everything Science Knows About Reading On Screens, it is discussed that reading has gone up more in recent years because all the reading we need to do is available on screen. There are some negatives to that however. Reading things online leaves room for a lot of distractrations vs the traditional reading method of a hard copy. It takes away the whole reading experience really. It also opened the door for more people to rely on scimming through articles instead of actually getting a full depth understanding on what you just read. It is not just negative though, there are a lot of benefits that come from this wave of technology. At this point everyone has some type of portable screen on them at all times and this is just going to continue to grow as we go more towards the future. With everything being on a screen, it is more relatively accessible, not to mention the fact the you not only read it but it reads you, mirroring you and further helping you.
